This is not acceptable
Assyriska lost against Brommarpojkarna with 3-0. They were hammered is the proper word. Every player, foremost the managers need to analyse for themselves what went wrong because this is not acceptable.
Martin Lorentzon was suspended due to the booking he got from last game, which was the third this season. In came Ilyas Merkes. Besides that, we had the same starting line up as against Enköping.
The first half was quite even between the teams. Both tried to attack and Brommarpojkarna got the first goal in the eleventh minute by Miiko Albornoz, assist by the best player this game, Christer Youssef. Assyriska continued to attack but they couldn’t create any great chances. Göran Marklund tried a few shoots from outside the penalty area but the keeper of BP didn’t have any problems with them.
We were hoping that we were going to see a new Assyriska when the second half started but unfortunately we didn’t. The away side couldn’t do much and BP proved that they deserve to be among the top teams. Miika Albornoz doubled his score sheet in the 56th minute and in the 63rd, his brother Mauricio added his name on the score sheet. Two minutes later, Bergman got his second yellow card and hopelessness spread among the players.
Substitutions were made. Mattias Genc came on instead of Marcos Diño Ferreira and Sargon Simonsson for Eddie Moussa. Minute later, Alex Perreria got sent off for hitting one of the BP player, very unprofessional by Alex. Nahir Besara came then on for Martin Åslund.
With nine players against eleven and ten minutes left, you cannot expect them to do anything except holding the ball and hopefully not concede any more. If it weren’t for Jon Rytterbro, Assyriska would have been humiliated and lost by at least five goals.
The managers have to change something drastically because this doesn’t work in the long run. There is no point to criticise them further but I hope that they are aware what they have lacked these last three games. We don’t need any further wake-up-call-games. It is time for the players to show that they deserve to wear the Assyrian flag close to their hearts. We need players with hunger and appetite for more.
The next game is this Sunday at 5pm in Södertälje against Väsby. Dennis Östlund might come back from his injury and Aziz Corr Nyang from his suspension.
