Junior News: Commanding display in pre-season finalé

Assyriska set a fast  pace to the game right from the start and Spånga found it difficult to keep up. The quality and accuracy of our passing game was first class as we found our rhythm with ease. Tactically and structurally we kept our shape and defensive discipline which leant us the license to continually  attack using the wide channels to great effect; an element that was appreciated by the teams Technical Attatché, Aslan Sharro.

“ In the first 20 to 25 minutes we played extremely well and Spånga struggled all over the park as we pressed them back in their own half playing good football. After scoring the two early goals we took our foot off the gas and relaxed which permitted them back into the game,” explained Aslan.

Attractive free flowing and fast technical football with the emphasis on high quality passing has become the pre-season trade-mark of the Tipselit team.

A sentiment shared by Aslan: “Our passing game is pleasing and nice to watch, but the team needs to find more consistency during games. Tonight we showed and demonstrated that when we want to, we can outplay any team. In the second half I thought that Kevin and Arman played very well coming round the flanks and delivering very good crosses into the box. Johan also put in a decent performance.”

Spånga weren´t totally happy with their first half display but in the second half the team played well and elevated their all-round performance .

Spånga coach Torgny Johnsson:”in the first half we simply couldn´t get hold of Assyriska who played very well, maintaining a high ball tempo and moving players quickly in the attacking channels. The second didn´t possess the same attractive football as in the opening 45 minutes and we managed to stop Assyriskas movement. It was more of an even affair and I was pleased with our second half, we played well. But I must say that we thought Assyriska are a very good footballing outfit.i must praise Vlado, he was impressive, and for us Bedi Altun and Mikail Uygur-Anderson were our best players”

The season opener at home to AIK on Saturday promises to be an interesting encounter and we are well prepared in what potentially could be a fruitful league campaign for us as we have set our main goal to reach the “slutspel”

Objectively, a lot of hard work remains but Head coach Tommy Krantz was upbeat after another impressive win, as he reflected.”We steered and bossed the game from start to finish. Good decision making and setting and dictating the tempo of the game was very pleasing, our passing game was particularly impressive. A stable and disciplined performance gave us the platform to control and dictate the match tempo to our advantage. A very good team performance in our final pre-season training match, which answered the questions we have had.”
