One step closer

This was not just a game as anyone previously. This was against the team that made us relegate from Superettan down to Norrettan two seasons ago. We supporters demanded revenge but the Assyriska players did more, they humiliated the entire team and whoever represented them. I couldn’t unfortunately attend to this game but my friend, Abgar Gulo was there and here is his version.

This was one of the easiest games Assyriska had. The away side controlled completely and LB07 tried to “save” their honor by using only defenders the entire game. There was a bit of nervousness among the supporters because of the scarcity of central defenders. We had Bengtsson, Bergman and Merkes were suspended and Conateh represented his national team. Lutaj and Borgqvist used following defending formation, starting from right to left:  Simonsson – Lorentzon – Samuelsson – Alex.

Samuelsson made his comeback from injury but it looked as if he hasn’t missed one game. He terminated every possible threat that they could come with. Lorentzon showed once again that he is a player that is too good for this league and, quite frankly, so did the rest of the team. Alex and Batan showed some samba (and Bagiye?) moves on their left wing and danced through the LB07:s defense. Eddie Moussa pulverized everything that came on his way. Marklund and Diño showed once again that they are class players.

Östlund together with Andi Toompuu was a lethal combination that will give every LB07 player nightmares for weeks. Let us not forget Jon Rytterbro. The J-Södra game triggered the confidence that was missing and that shows not only on his performance but also among the defenders.

The first goal was from a free kick by Östlund. He wasn’t lucky with the free kicks the last game but it looks like he has made some practice because the shot he got was amazing. The second goal proved how important our left wing is. Alex came though his defender and crossed the ball to the youngster Mattias Genc that didn’t make any mistakes as he headed the ball.

Let us hope that this team spirit stays. There are seven games left, seven difficult games but we have now taken one step closed to Allsvenskan. The next game will be in Tuesday the 16th against Örgryte. It starts at 7 pm in Södertälje. We all remember what a fantastic game it was the last time but Örgryte has improved since then and Marcus Allbäck, the former national player, has returned to his team.
